day 8: Monday June 22—Cayber
There was potential for sunshine and I was hopeful with this morning view. We were headed back for a landing in Mushamna where we were yesterday. It's that strip of land on the right in the above picture. When we got to shore, I didn't wander far from our landing site. We found the remains of last night's bonfire so Sally brought it back to life as it was a mighty chilly morning. Ayo helped her and Melissa did some documenting. When the fire was going, I assisted Ayo in collecting sound recordings of it. His furry microphone doubled as a warm hat for me! After Sally had a listen, Snowflake got a chance to hear some of the strange sounds he had captured so far and tried to guess what made them. |
