day 2: Tuesday June 16 afternoon—Max and CostaThe group was headed back to the same landing site that Electric QT and Cayber explored but we got to go with a small group for a detour to the abandoned huts spotted yesterday as we sailed into the bay. We had to wait for the last zodiac so hung out in the deck area. The two huts were half in the water and not much else was inside apart from ice and the beds so we took a quick look around outside and came upon this! –What is that Costa?

day 2: Tuesday June 16 morning—Cayber and Electric QTOur landing this morning was on the north side of Ymerbukta next to Esmarkbreen. It was overcast as we stepped onto the deck to get ready to be taken to shore. Everyone had to make sure they had their life vests on, tall boots on, and signed out with a / next to their name so Captain Jo would know who was on land and who was onboard. We waited until everyone was on land for Sarah to tell us where the safe zone to work was. If you've forgotten what that is, look back at our Greetings from Longyearbyen post and there is a picture of Theres showing us one possible safe zone configuration. We then went off to explore the landing area.
