day 3: Wednesday June 17 morning—Snowflake and Snowball
We anchored at Fjortende Julibukta at 5:20 and made our landing around 9:30 on the southern side of the bay. We first took a spin on some mini icebergs. It was slippery! Then we spent the rest of the morning watching the artists work and learning about their projects. |
We quietly watched as Keri made a sculpture from found plant material. She placed it near the water and was photographing it. We were careful not to disturb her or step into the frame. | Joey brought his folded ruler out and was teaching us how to use it to measure angles and heights to transfer to the drawings. Have a look at some of his previous work. We especially like his swimming drawings. What about you? |
