day 3: Wednesday June 17 morning—Snowflake and Snowball
We anchored at Fjortende Julibukta at 5:20 and made our landing around 9:30 on the southern side of the bay. We first took a spin on some mini icebergs. It was slippery! Then we spent the rest of the morning watching the artists work and learning about their projects.
We quietly watched as Keri made a sculpture from found plant material. She placed it near the water and was photographing it. We were careful not to disturb her or step into the frame.
Joey brought his folded ruler out and was teaching us how to use it to measure angles and heights to transfer to the drawings. Have a look at some of his previous work. We especially like his swimming drawings. What about you?
